Therapy for Moms Feeling Overwhelmed, Anxious, or Exhausted
If you are a new mom feeling overwhelmed, anxious and exhausted, you may find it difficult to reconnect with your sense of purpose. Through therapy for moms, postpartum anxiety support, and mindfulness-based maternal mental health care, I can help you live a fuller and more vibrant life.
I’ve heard women describe their motherhood experience as feeling a bit robotic—doing all the tasks you’re “supposed” to be doing, but not as emotionally or mentally present as you would like to be.
The thoughts and feelings you may be having do not make you a bad mother. You are just a mom struggling with the incredibly hard task of caring for tiny humans, yourself, the dog, the cat, the community—all while working (in and out of the home), going to school, maintaining your relationships, and feeding your family. Phew!
Postpartum Burnout, Anxiety, and Depression
You may feel distressed knowing that your role as a mom is one you’ve felt called into, and you may perceive postpartum burnout as a sign that you’ve failed at your calling. This can sometimes lead to a downward spiral into postpartum depression, anxiety, anger, isolation, or resentment.
Mama, I know you are full of love and great intention. I also know that you are tired. Really tired. You are also probably lonely at times and unsure of just about everything you are doing.
If this is you, I can help you de-stress, reduce anxiety, and manage postpartum depression symptoms. Together we will create a self-compassion plan to ease your symptoms of maternal mental health struggles and allow you to grow into your new role as a mother in the way that looks best for YOU. .
